Today(28 January 2025) Karoo Hoogland Municipality officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding in collaboration with Chemical Industries Education and Training Authority(CHIETA) for a Smart Skill Centre that will be located in Fraserburg.
This is a groundbreaking collaboration that once again speaks to the Municipality’s commitment to enhance the quality of life for its residents.
This MOU represents more than just a formal agreement. It’s a symbol of our commitment to breaking down barriers and creating solutions that neither of us can achieve alone.
This Smart Skills Centre will be a game-changer for our youth and local economy. It will provide the tools needed to bridge the skills gap.

Karoo Hoogland Munisipaliteit het vandag(28 Januarie 2025) amptelik ‘n Memorandum van Verstandhouding onderteken in samewerking met Chemical Industries Education and Training Authority (CHIETA) vir ‘n Smart Skill Centre wat in Fraserburg geleë sal wees.
Hierdie is ‘n baanbrekende samewerking wat weereens spreek tot die Munisipaliteit se verbintenis om die lewenskwaliteit vir sy inwoners te verbeter.
Hierdie MOU verteenwoordig meer as net ‘n formele ooreenkoms. Dit is ‘n simbool van ons verbintenis om hindernisse af te breek, hindernisse af te breek en oplossings te skep wat nie een van ons alleen kan bereik nie.
Hierdie Smart Skills Centre sal ‘n spel-wisselaar wees vir ons jeug en plaaslike ekonomie. Dit sal die gereedskap verskaf wat nodig is om die vaardigheidsgaping te oorbrug.
Ons wil graag vir CHIETA bedank vir hul belegging en die verbintenis tot ‘n gedeelde visie.
